Young Guns

The Scorpion Wrestlers enjoyed another banner year of success in 2007, but the team is working hard to keep the train rolling. Hesperia will lose it's historic senior talent and will have to rely on a stable of young guns and a group of returning starters who have already proven they have the skill to live up to previous scorpion squads. Below is a run down of some returning starters to watch in 2008 and beyond.

• Ray Delgado
  Weight in '07: 103 lbs.
  Ray has burst out of the gates - turning heads by advancing to Masters in his first year of high school wrestling. He has suprising strength but his ability to pick up moves and technique may be his greatest asset.
  
  
• The Pinto Brothers
  Weight in '07: 112, 119 lbs.
  Brian and Ivan Pinto can be spotted clowning around with teammates, but they have serious talent. The two are great as wrestling partners and make each other better.
  
  
• Chris Sloat
  Weight in '07: 152 lbs.
  When not honing his ninja skills, Chris Sloat is kicking butt on that mat. In 2007 Chris went undefeated in league matches and came up with a memorable win in "The Dual". Like all great wrestlers, Chris is working hard this summer, and picked up third at Freestyle State.
  
  
• Danny Reyes
  Weight in '07: 189 lbs.
  After seeing Danny wrestle for a few seconds it becomes apparent that he is one strong CAMFO. In the past two years he's been adding an arsenal of technique that has made him a favorite clean up at the state tournament. Coming off of a 8th place finish at state and a 6th place finish at Nationals, the sky is the limit.
